It is said, the older you get the faster time goes by. I believe it! It seems we just celebrated 2023 Christmas, and over a year has passed by since. The Bible tells us, “For what is your life? It is even a vapour, that appeareth for a little time, and then vanisheth away.” When you consider the thousands of years of history behind us, our 70 – 80 years of life on this world don’t seem significant at all–in length–which is why we must do what we can to be good stewards of the time God has given us.

Is there something you want to accomplish this year? If so, don’t start with a New Year’s resolution, as these tend to be things we give up on because we are often not committed to them. We approach them as something we want to try, but we’re okay if things don’t work out–at least we tried. Afterall, if it’s important enough to you, then why wait for a specific date to start doing it? Do you want to ready your Bible through this year? Start today. Be resolved to accomplish your goal. Commit yourself to completing the task. Ask God to help you.
